Some 2014 Highlights

What is a share worth?

Across all networks the average share worth was $2.56, but Email and Google+ were way above that with $12.41 and $5.62 per share respectively. It is important to note that certain product categories are more inherently social than others and these numbers didn't take category into consideration.

Which platforms are the most popular?

Not surprisingly, Facebook accounts for a whopping 73.68% of all shares. Twitter holds a very distant second place with 10.10% of shares. Facebook has a varied user group that crosses many demographics which could explain why it gets so many shares.

Which store types are the most popular?

Apparel & Clothing holds the crown here as the most shared product category with Entertainment & Media coming in second. There are a lot of factors that can contribute to this, but like we said before, some store types are just naturally more social. I don't know about you, but I would definitely rather share clothing than Band-Aids.
